The Good Dog! International Film Festival

December 2, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - December 3, 2016 @ 11:00 pm AEDT

The annual festival is held on Sydney Harbour, Australia.

All profits are donated to Australian and International dog charities. Since 2012, the festival and its sister event The Easter Dog Parade have raised $13,000+ for dog charities.

The festival director is Anny Slater who is a lawyer, filmmaker, writer and philanthropist – Anny’s experience can be seen here. U.S. MovieMaker magazine named Good Dog! in its list of “Top 10” Coolest Film Festivals in the World ‘Out of the Box’ category. The magazine said “If it isn’t cool enough that each movie GDIFF screens features a dog, all of the profits are donated to Australian and International dog charities”.

This year the festival screens at Joynton Park, Zetland across the evenings of 2 & 3 December 2016. All profits are donated to Australian dog charities. The 2016 charity is Young Diggers Dog Squad which trains ex- pound dogs as service dogs for returned veterans suffering from PTSD. Support the festival and buy a $10 adult ticket so that we can raise as much money for Young Diggers as possible.

This year the films were submitted from the US, Australia, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Peru, Portugal and Sweden as part of an international competition.

In 2017, the festival will be screened Australia wide and tour internationally.
