The country comes to the city when Aussie farmers and their hard-working Dogs hit town for the Dog Lovers Show!

Some Dogs are born to work – it’s in their DNA! At the 2019 Dog Lovers Show you can learn how important genetics are, how puppies are trained, and the role of experienced Dogs.

Discover, in person, the intricacies of working Dogs and be astounded by the results of years of training. Find out how the working Dog breeds differ in their skill sets and how they work the sheep in their quintessential Aussie style.

Head to the Outdoor Area and you’ll be amazed by talented working dogs as they perform in the Sheepdog Speed Trials and Extreme High Jump Competitions.

Australian Working Dog Rescue Inc (AWDRI) presents the Outdoor Arena program where purpose-bred working Dogs are placed ‘in their element’ – safely moving real sheep through a course, just as they would do on the farm.

In addition, 2019 will see the introduction of the first Extreme High Jump Competition, where working Dogs will be leaping to break new World Records.

The well-known face of AWDRI, Carey Edwards, will ignite the Outdoor Arena with expert commentary and acclaimed judging, giving visitors a chance to get up close and paw-sonal.
