The Dog Lovers Show team just want to shout out a massive THANK YOU to all our Dog loving followers that have been so supportive of our recent announcement to postpone the Dog Lovers Show in Melbourne originally scheduled for this May. The positive comments, calls and messages we have received have truly humbled us all and helped get us through. We love the community the show has built over the last 8 years and in the past week it’s been even more evident just how many Dog lovers truly love the event and look forward to it every year. We can’t wait to open the doors again to this great festival on Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November this year at the Royal Exhibition Building when hopefully we will all be through this incredibly tough time for everyone. ⁠ ⁠ We would like to update all our followers on the status of the 2020 Melbourne Dog Lovers Show scheduled to be held from 1 to 3 May this year at the Royal Exhibition Building.⁠ ⁠ The COVID-19 situation is unprecedented and has been moving so rapidly and it's important we make an informed decision and take the most appropriate action in the best interests of all concerned.⁠ ⁠ Clearly this week, and today in particular, the situation here in Australia has reached a tipping point so we have been left with no other option but to stage the Dog Lovers Show around 7 months later than the original date. ⁠ ⁠ The safety and welfare of everyone involved with the event, the wider community and the 1,000+ beautiful dogs who take part, must be our number one priority and the Government has stopped all mass gatherings over 500 people. ⁠ ⁠ So, we hope you can join us at the 2020 Melbourne Show now from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th of November this year (2020).⁠ ⁠ The Dog Lovers Show community is very special and we truly value your support and are so proud of this event.
